Meet Melissa Uribe, Director of Accounting at SENTRE! Melissa joined the firm in September 2007 and has devoted nearly her entire professional career to the SENTRE platform’s growth and prosperity. She plays an integral part in our leadership and provides guidance, support and generous expertise to the greater team daily. Melissa moved to San Diego from San Luis Obispo, CA, where she graduated from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance.  As a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and equipped with almost two decades of project management experience, she meticulously oversees accounting across the SENTRE portfolio. Outside of the office, Melissa and her husband, Gabe, enjoy life in San Diego with their two young children. As Mike Tyson once said, everyone has a plan until you get punched in the face. This very much applies to real estate. A what feels like perfect plan results in a different outcome for reasons out of your control. In 2019 we acquired a shopping center, navigated the pandemic and executed 2 new leases, completed our development plan which materially reimagined the look and feel of the center, leased up the balance of our vacant space (including an end cap that had been vacant for over a decade) and extended all 3 anchor tenants. Great result. Then less than 12 months after we extended our largest tenant for 10 years we received news of the tenant’s bankruptcy and a potential lease rejection including our store. Major change. This was not a part of our plan. We huddled up with our partners (leasing, legal, investors, lender, architect, contractor) and put an updated plan in place. In the end, our openness, colloboration and creativity resulted in a 10 year lease with an investment grade credit tenant that will invest heavily in the store, complement our tenant mix, and drive greater traffic to the center. The result not perfect but a great outcome given the cards we were dealt. As always, great partners and a willingness to lean in to the tough stuff makes the difference. That’s a wrap! The 18th Annual NJS Memorial was a record breaking year at $250k raised in 2024 and over $1.5M donated to date for our community partner Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego! On the last business day of 2023, we closed on a 163,000 SF industrial building in Temecula - SENTRE's 5th industrial acquisition in the past few years.  We saw an opportunity to elevate the asset by giving it a new identity that embodies the spirit of collaboration and creation: Production Temecula. "Production" pays homage to the property's tenant, RR Donnelley, a pioneer in marketing and commercial print services who has occupied the building since its origin 35 years ago.  Symbolized by an abstract mark resembling a "P," the logo features a subtle paper fold, a nod to the expertise of our longstanding tenant, as well as an orange semicircle representing the vibrant Temecula sun and a bright future for Production Temecula! #Branding #ProductionTemecula #SENTRE

Proud to highlight our Manager, Investments - Eric Bartlett! As we continue to grow our portfolio, Eric plays an important role in sourcing and underwriting new acquisitions – executing on our investment strategy across major West Coast markets. In addition, he manages our leasing efforts across the industrial, retail and office portfolio. A Southern California native and San Diego State University alumnus, Eric is an active member of NAIOP San Diego and has a track record of institutional real estate experience, previously working at a Blackstone portfolio company (ShopCore Properties) as well as a large, publicly traded REIT (Realty Income). Outside the office, Eric is an avid surfer who has traveled the world pursuing new experiences. My mom passed on Mother’s Day 2005. A year later in July 2006 we founded our inaugural NJS Memorial Golf Tournament - the best way we knew how to bring family, friends and community together to celebrate, recognize and honor the legacy of Nikki. Next month, and 19 years from that Mother’s Day, we come together again for Nikki and a cause that she would be proud to support in Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.
