  • County Commissioners were invited to a community meeting with the National Center for Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment (START). The discussion focused on the impact on our community due to the insufficient availability of appropriate and accessible mental health resources for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health needs. They presented local data, facilitated discussions on the scope and severity of the issue, and provided insights from evidence-based practices. Addressing these challenges is crucial for fostering a healthier community for everyone.
