Professional setbacks are a part of every career. What matters most is how we move forward. 🚀 The Securian Young Professionals Network (SYPN) recently hosted a session titled "How to Make a Comeback: Moving Forward from a Professional Setback." Through small-group discussions, employees had the opportunity to learn directly from our leaders about how they've overcome career obstacles.   Thank you to our leaders David Seidel, Monica Roth, Lydia (Griffith) Jilek and Matt Bauler for helping us facilitate these discussions!

Securian Canada has entered into a multi-year agreement as the official life insurance partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs. As part of the agreement, we will also serve as the presenting sponsor of Home Ice Hockey, an MLSE Foundation program dedicated to making hockey more accessible to youth in underserved communities across the Greater Toronto Area. With more than 66 per cent of participants born outside Canada and 56 per cent identifying as girls, Home Ice Hockey brings together youth from diverse backgrounds, helping foster inclusivity and a sense of belonging while teaching important life skills such as teamwork, leadership and resilience. We’re proud to share many core values with the Leafs, including our commitment to inclusion and finding ways to make an impact in our local communities. They were single mothers who had previously been homeless and now had stable jobs and stable housing. I was crying, thinking this is absolutely the right board for me to be a part of because the work that they're doing is so valuable and meaningful to these families.
