Pride isn’t just a month—it’s 365 days a year of unapologetic existence! Seattle's queer community is made better by honoring the grit and courage of our elders and ancestors who fought tirelessly. 🌈✨ Their bravery allows us to live authentically today. This year, we are committed to delving into our history, celebrating our culture, and honoring the trailblazers who paved the way. As we move forward, it's essential to focus on community and care for each other, because we are our strongest together. 💖 Huge thanks to Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI), GenPride and Stike A Pose Seattle for their incredible support. 🎥 Fearless Video Productions #SeattlePride #SeattlePride50 #Pride2024 #Now #Now50 #PrideMonth #NowMovement

Seattle's Pride Parade is an annual event that brings together members of the LGBTQ community and their allies to celebrate love, diversity, and acceptance. However, the parade is more than just a colorful spectacle; it serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ rights. This year's parade was particularly poignant, as Deaunte Damper, host of Converge Media’s We Live In Color, inspired by the legacy of Marsha P. Johnson, delivered a moving Call to Action. Damper's speech highlighted the harsh realities faced by many in the LGBTQ community, including homelessness, overdose, and transphobic violence. Damper's words reminded us that Pride is not just a celebration but a global movement for justice and peace. The parade, in it’s 50th year, while a joyful occasion, also serves as a platform to honor those lost in the fight for equality and emphasize the work that still needs to be done. Seattle's Pride Parade, with its roots in activism and its focus on social justice, continues to be a powerful force for change in the ongoing fight for LGBTQ rights. The 50th Anniversary kickoff was one for the BOOKS! Seattle Pride in the Park is a testament to the power, brilliance, and beauty of our community. You! ALL OF YOU! ❤️ We had 20 local queer artists light up our stages (because local talent IS HEADLINING TALENT)! We created space for LGBTQIA2S small businesses, craft vendors, and organizations to share their work (because local artists/businesses ARE OUR COMMUNITY). We celebrated with over 12,000 of our closest friends, community, and allies (because that is why we do what we do). We hope that everyone who attended left with a renewed commitment to care, advocate, and organize with one another to protect spaces like this here and everywhere. Huge thanks to all of the organizations that hosted community hubs this year: @ArcOfKingCounty, @GatheredInThisPlace, @GayCity, VisuallySpeaking Seattle, @CampTenTrees, & @GenPride. 🙌 Last but not least, thank you to our partners and donors who made an event this big FREE for the community! 📹: Fearless Video Productions #SeattlePride #PrideinthePark #50YearsStrong #CommunityLove #SupportLocal #SeattlePride50
