It’s always a good day when we get to give back to our community. Yesterday, Scully Company employees completed a service project with Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, a local organization that works with area farmers to bring fresh produce to food-insecure residents of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Despite the heat, we had a great time at the beautiful Snipes Farm and Education Center and can’t wait to volunteer again soon! #ScullyPride

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending National Apartment Association (Naahq)'s annual Apartmentalize Convention and Trade Show in Philadelphia. The trade show floor was filled with hundreds of vendors showcasing exciting displays, allowing attendees to engage with industry representatives and learn about new developments in multifamily technology. Additionally, numerous educational sessions led by multifamily industry leaders provided us with fresh ideas and reignited our passion for our work.    The convention also featured remarkable keynote speakers, including Leslie Odom Jr. from the hit musical “Hamilton,” Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter, and Hollywood's Mark Wahlberg. Their presentations offered interesting perspectives, engaging lessons, and entertaining stories that brought everyone together.    The event was not just about business, as we also had the opportunity to attend fun parties, such as NAA's party at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Guests enjoyed access to every floor of the museum, including the iconic steps and outdoor space. The evening included dinner, drinks, dancing, networking, and the chance to explore the beautiful galleries.    On the final day, our very own Roberto Delgado was honored on stage as a Maintenance Legend for his hard work and dedication to his Jacaranda Village Apartment community.    We cannot wait until next year! #Apartmentalize #Apartmentalize2024 #NationalApartmentAssociation #TradeShow #Philadelphia #PennsylvaniaApartmentAssociation 

"Delightfully Disoriented At National Apartment Association (Naahq)” — Sure, I planned for educational sessions and booth visits. Like many, I acted as a precise human pin-drop, perfectly coordinated at exact seconds. But what became more enlightening was the wealth of random conversations with industry folk. It transformed careful orchestration into an elated jazz jam chat of AI experiments and potent trends, all hinged with an uncertainty of what's next. Sessions were fantastic, but often made you research data points with discreet taps on your phone. The floor was ripe with that fresh carpet smell and Vegas overtones. My backpack filled with a healthy stew of fliers, biz cards, branded tchotchkes—and future research. Occasionally, I met up with Scully colleagues, but it was short-lived before I was lost in the crowds and back to walking solo, trying to figure out the convention center signage. (I ended up momentarily lost in the Philadelphia Museum Of Art at the NAA Party.) Lunch led me to the Reading Terminal Market where I got lost even further, trying to find the perfect savory something that I've never eaten.
