Smart Control of the Climate Resilience in European Coastal Cities

About us

SCORE is a EU H2020 research project aiming to apply citizen science, participatory engagement methods, Smart technologies and Ecosystem-Based Solutions (EBA) to increase climate resilience of European coastal cities through the Costal City Living Lab (CCLL) framework. CCLL is a new concept that expands the Living Lab approach to coastal cities and settlements. CCLLs will be set up to address specific climate challenges and their effectiveness will be assessed by different stakeholders through innovative monitoring systems and cuttingedge modelling approaches. SCORE will develop CCLLs in a network of 10 cities which learn from each other in different frontrunner and follower roles. SCORE has started in July 2021 for a duration of 4 years. Coordinated by the Institute of Technology, Sligo, Ireland, the consortium is composed of 28 Universities and organizations in 8 EU Countries and Turkey. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101003534.
