📢We have entered the drafting phase of the SBTi Oil & Gas Standard! Recently, our Expert Advisory Group (EAG) had another productive session, providing us with more insights into GHG accounting for the oil and gas industry. This progress brings us closer to completing a draft for public consultation. So far, we’ve completed an extensive research phase in line with our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Our Technical Department gathered input from stakeholders, conducted interviews and reviewed scientific literature and relevant guidance. This thorough research ensures the Oil and Gas Standard is built on a solid foundation of diverse perspectives and the latest scientific insights. 🎯 Help shape the upcoming SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard V2! The SBTi is reviewing the metrics and target-setting methods used for scope 1 and 2 emissions as part of our updates to the Corporate Net-Zero Standard. We are seeking proposals from individuals to help organize workshops to gather expert input for the revision of metrics and targets setting methods for scope 1 and 2 emissions. 📢 The SBTi is updating our Financial Institutions Net-Zero Standard (FINZ) and needs your support. One way to get involved is to apply for the FINZ pilot testing. Participants in the pilot will create test-version science-based targets, which will help refine the draft standard before its official release. The SBTi is reviewing our existing power sector guidance and target-setting tools and is seeking a technical partner to support the development of the Power Sector Standard.
