The tragic deaths of two children in our region highlight the critical importance of properly fitted and installed child safety seats. Like many other public safety entities, #sccadems has SAFEKIDS-certified child passenger safety techs available by appointment to assist parents, grandparents and others. For families unable to afford safe transportation for their children, help is available - thanks to a partnership with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and a generous grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation, cost-free seats are available to those who qualify. The Cardiac Arrest #SurvivorCelebration is an event we look forward to for months - it provides our patients with an opportunity to reconnect with the #paramedics, #firefighters and #dispatchers who rendered care during their emergency. More birthdays, holidays & family milestones are ahead for these individuals. They remind us why we do what we do!

St. Charles County Government Police Department & #sccadems have pooled assets and pilots to create a regional unmanned aircraft (drone) team. From barricaded subjects to nighttime rescues in rough terrain, the team has been deployed to quite a variety of emergencies. In November 2022, residents of #StCharlesCounty overwhelmingly approved Proposition Paramedic - a seven-cent tax levy increase to aid with recruitment & retention efforts for #sccadems. In 2018, voters in St. Charles County made an important investment in their EMS service with the overwhelming approval of #PropAmbulance - a $70M general obligation bond issue. The bond funded the District’s 10-year capital improvement plan, which included new ambulances, stations, and lifesaving equipment.
