🌟 Celebrating Walter's Incredible Journey of Giving! 🌟 We are honored to recognize long-time donor and volunteer, Walter Panowitz, for his unwavering dedication to saving lives. Last week, San Diego Blood Bank proudly presented Walter with a certificate of recognition from the Fresenius Kabi Donation Hall of Fame! For over 30 years, Walter has been a hero in our community. Starting his journey back in 1990 at the encouragement of a co-worker, Walter has since donated more than 75 gallons of blood through over 300 donations, impacting thousands of lives. 🙌❤️ Beyond his regular donations of whole blood, platelets, and plasma, Walter is also a treasured volunteer. He has given over 5,000 volunteer hours, helping at mobile blood drives, special events, and supporting our donor experience team. He holds the record for the longest tenure as a San Diego Blood Bank volunteer, and last year, he was awarded the Lifetime Presidential Award for his incredible contributions. Walter’s generosity doesn’t stop there! He has also been a loyal financial donor for nearly 30 years, helping to fund vital resources for our blood collection program such as equipment and support for bloodmobiles. We are beyond grateful for Walter’s passion, commitment, and selflessness. His impact on our community is immeasurable, and we are so proud to have him as part of our San Diego Blood Bank family. 💙 Please join us in celebrating Walter's remarkable journey by leaving him a note of thanks in the comments! And if you're inspired by his story, consider making an appointment to donate today. Together, we can save lives. 🩸 #WalterTheLifesaver #DonateBlood #CommunityHeroes #ThankYou #VolunteerSpotlight #FeelGoodFriday
