Thank you Jennifer Granholm and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the support in this monumental partnership between Sage Geosystems and Electrocentrale Bucuresti (ELCEN). We're thrilled to expand our partnerships overseas and to bring our geothermal energy systems to Romania, and we're looking forward to future projects through #PTECC.
That's a wrap on day 1 in Romania for the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC). 🇺🇸 🇷🇴 It's great to be here and meet with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu again as I highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is working with global partners in the clean energy transition to strengthen energy security. On the ground today at #PTECC, I witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understandingbetween Sage Geosystems and Electrocentrale Bucuresti that will take American geothermal technology and decarbonize the district heating system for Bucharest, which will power around 14,000 homes with clean energy. It was also a pleasure to join Romanian Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja and Ukrainian Deputy Energy Minister Roman Andarak for bilateral meetings today. The Biden-Harris Administration continues to partner with nations to ensure a just clean energy transition is achieved around the world.
