July is National Ice Cream Month! In celebration, Sabre held an employee appreciation ice cream social yesterday on the NAS PAX River base. Sabre Pros Kevin Whittle, an Emerging Technologies Architect residing in Montana, and Chris Curwood, a Senior Solutions Architect located in Washington state, recently traveled in to visit our Lexington Park, MD location. There they met with the NAVAIR Digital Dept Emerging Tech team to showcase some Agile planning capabilities. While in the area they also attended the AWS Summit in DC with NAVAIR colleagues where they were able to engage in builder sessions, meetings, and valuable team building. Amanda Hostetter, Sabre's Pricing Specialist, is an active volunteer at Icing Smiles, a nationwide nonprofit organization that aims to bring joy to children affected by critical illnesses. In her role as the Cookie Club Coordinator, Amanda generously donates her time to provide surprise boxes of beautifully decorated cookies to these brave children and their families. Whether it's for a special milestone celebration, a small gesture to brighten their day, or even to acknowledge the siblings of ill children, Amanda ensures that these sweet treats bring smiles to their faces. Icing Smiles believes in showing these families that they are cared for and supported during challenging times. Amanda has been dedicated to supporting Icing Smiles for the past four years. She shared, “Volunteering as the Cookie Club Coordinator for Icing Smiles has been incredibly rewarding. It's a joy to organize a dedicated group of bakers who share their talents to bring smiles to children and their families facing medical challenges.
