SaaStr is the world’s largest community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to help everyone get from $0 to $100m ARR with less stress and more success. We do that with a combination of industry-leading content and community connections. The SaaStr Annual is the largest non-vendor event in the industry. SaaStr began in 2012 as a simple WordPress blog and a few answers on Quora sharing EchoSign founder Jason Lemkin’s learnings of going from $0 to $100m ARR at EchoSign. This led to our first meet-ups in 2013, the first SaaStr Annual in 2015, the industry’s leading podcast in 2016, the first coworking space in 2017, and the first learning management system for SaaS CEOs in 2018. To continue expanding and serving the community, SaaStr has grown its offerings to include regional and global events, a co-selling space, an investment fund, and an automated e-learning platform. SaaStr has been named one of the Top 100 Blogs for Entrepreneurs but Forbes and one of the 50 Best Websites for Entrepreneurs by Inc. Magazine, and a Top Writer on Quora six times. Jason has been named by Business Insider to the 32 Most Powerful People in Business Technology.

Here's a great example - Rippling CRO with Sam Blond (ex CRO Brex / Founders Fund) Marketing budget contributes to outbound 50%(!!!) of their pipeline comes from cold calling (not emails) How they moved from selling to HR (core product) to IT / Finance as they added more SKUs Why they moved from CSMs to Account Managers Great convo > https://lnkd.in/etiuFqfN

"In SaaS, time is the ultimate competitor. Move fast, but build for the long game." Last year, I was lucky to be in Singapore to attend the SaaStr APAC event and meet Jason. SaaStr is the world's largest and #1 community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. I've been an ardent listener of "The Official Saastr Podcast" which interviews the most prominent operators and investors to discover their tips, tactics, and strategies to attain success in the fiercely competitive world of SaaS. The podcast boasts fantastic episodes that give you a playbook on how to get from $0 to $100m ARR faster and what it takes to scale successfully. Having been a founder himself, Jason's insights resonate deeply. His journey from 3x founder to VC offers a unique perspective on both sides of the table. His emphasis on sustainable growth and customer-centric product development has always been quite insightful. To Jason M. Lemkin and the entire SaaStr crew: Thank you for your tireless efforts in building this incredible community. You're not just event organizers; you're catalysts for innovation and growth in the SaaS world. 🙏 #saascommunity #saastr

Another great year at SaaStr Annual 2024! 🌟 Juan Manuel Barrero and SEBASTIAN POLITI had an amazing time diving into the latest #SaaS trends with founders, customers, and investors. Reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones was a highlight! We picked up some great insights from sessions like “The AI Cloud Era” with Sameer Dholakia from Bessemer Venture Partners and Kate Jensen from Anthropic. We also enjoyed “Building Product in the Age of AI” with Jennifer Taylor from Plaid and Karandeep Anand from Brex 🚀 Can't wait for the next SaaStr Conference 🔥

Dear SaaStr: Growth Has Slowed and My VP of Sales is Pushing Me To Hire More Reps. Is That The Right Way to Go? No. Not 9 times out of 10. In fact, the #1 sign your VP of Sales is really struggling is when their best answer to slow sales is to hire more AEs. Of course you need enough reps to hit the plan, and enough capacity to hit the plan. But when grow slows, when you miss the plan, more bodies does not solve the problem. In fact, fewer sales reps often in the short term solves the problem. You focus leads and opportunities on the best reps, and then rebuild the sales team from there. Once a VP of Sales that is struggling starts pushing for a lot more sales headcount ... it's time to realize it's not working. It's a hail mary than on paper might work, but in reality, doesn't.
