The world's largest community for business software.

About us

SaaStr is the world’s largest community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to help everyone get from $0 to $100m ARR with less stress and more success. We do that with a combination of industry-leading content and community connections. The SaaStr Annual is the largest non-vendor event in the industry. SaaStr began in 2012 as a simple WordPress blog and a few answers on Quora sharing EchoSign founder Jason Lemkin’s learnings of going from $0 to $100m ARR at EchoSign. This led to our first meet-ups in 2013, the first SaaStr Annual in 2015, the industry’s leading podcast in 2016, the first coworking space in 2017, and the first learning management system for SaaS CEOs in 2018. To continue expanding and serving the community, SaaStr has grown its offerings to include regional and global events, a co-selling space, an investment fund, and an automated e-learning platform. SaaStr has been named one of the Top 100 Blogs for Entrepreneurs but Forbes and one of the 50 Best Websites for Entrepreneurs by Inc. Magazine, and a Top Writer on Quora six times. Jason has been named by Business Insider to the 32 Most Powerful People in Business Technology.

🔥 The SaaS Era of 2013-2022 is OVER - Welcome to the world of Hyperfunctional SaaS. 🚀 This new era requires companies to do more with less while raising the bar for innovation, efficiency, and customer expectations. Here are the key takeaways from Jason M. Lemkin, Founder & CEO of SaaStr, during his excellent session at SaaStr 2024 💫 🙌 : 1️⃣ AI is now table stakes 🧠: Customers expect AI to replace up to 50% of the workforce. It’s happening, especially in sectors like customer service, where platforms like Zendesk, Intercom, and Talkdesk are cutting contact center headcount by 30%-50%. 2️⃣ The customer bar has gone WAY up 📈: AI isn’t just a buzzword anymore; it’s transforming how we structure and search data, making it instantly accessible and actionable. Customers now want every product to function with plain English prompts, creating seamless, intuitive experiences akin to OpenAI. Even complex onboarding processes are expected to be fully automated and done now, not weeks later! 3️⃣ One platform, many functions 🌐: The rise of multiproduct platforms like HubSpot and monday.com shows that customers demand fewer point solutions and more multifunctional, integrated systems. Whether it's payroll, CRM, or onboarding – customers expect platforms to deliver 20 functions under one roof. 🤹 4️⃣ Radical efficiency is the new normal 🏃♂️💨: Companies at $1B ARR now expect 20% margins and operate with leaner teams – just 700 FTEs at $200M ARR. The message? Deliver more value, with less. 😍 5️⃣ Automation is everywhere ⚙️: Companies can no longer afford to rely on manual processes. Automation is the backbone of every function, from sales to support to operations. 6️⃣ Product expectations skyrocketing 🚀: Customers expect to replace 30%-50% of their workforce with AI, and demand core platforms that can handle the workload of 20 point solutions. It’s no longer enough to offer a single feature – you must provide hyperfunctional, multifaceted solutions. 💡 Bottom Line: It’s harder, it’s faster, and it’s more complex – welcome to Hyperfunctional SaaS. Time to step up… or step aside. https://lnkd.in/gvKzi95f #SaaS #AI #HyperfunctionalSaaS #SaaStr2024 #Automation #Efficiency #Multiproduct #SaaSLeaders

This was the segment from last week's episode that generated the most heated feedback... by FAR. I got more than texts about this than almost every other topic combined. Take a listen and let me know your thoughts. I'm jumping on with Asad and Sam to unpack this topic on the Topline podcast this week and would love to hear from all the revenue leaders out there. Finance Nerd | SaaS | Full Stack Business Guy | 0 to 1 |

First things first, let's address the elephant in the room. After attending SaaStr Annual in SF for the 3rd year, the question that comes to me is always the same. WHY would a finance guy like me attend an event that is perceived to be more founder and GTM focussed? Here is what I told everyone. 1. Business Understanding - Finance is not about numbers. We are not bean counters. Our job is to tell the "story" behind the numbers. Understanding Marketing, Sales and Product helps me do my job better. 2. SaaS Deep Dive - When I joined Airmeet in 2019, the following years fundamentally transformed my life. I fell in love with the technology and the people. Attending SaaStr gives me a chance to know what's happening in global SaaS companies and how one could apply it back home. 3. Ecosystem - The event is an annual pilgrimage for global SaaS founders. Meeting this many people outside of SaaStr would take a lot more time and effort. 4. Unofficial Events - Many companies, including Sprinto hosted events around SaaStr that expands the scope to meet founders and operators. Learn more about our customers and what's happening in the ecosystem. Over the next few weeks, I will publish my learnings from SaaStr 2024! As Jason M. Lemkin says, Boom!

Diretora de RH - Chief Human Resources Officer at Mercos

#saastr #saas #mercos #autoresdanossohistoria
