We specialize in Coaching, Strategy, Fractional COO services, and Executive Team support programs, providing tailored solutions to drive sustained success. The work continues as we do our bit to protect and facilitate the Democratic process in the U.S. and worldwide.     This year, AI has the potential to impact elections worldwide. Over the past six months, I've provided strategic support for a very interesting project at Microsoft tasked with safeguarding the democratic process from bad actors in the space while also educating political campaigns in both parties on how they can utilize AI positively and responsibly. Under Brad Smith's direction, a small crew within Erin Burchfield's Tech for Social Impact team, embedded within Microsoft Philanthropies, called the Campaign Success Team, has been reaching out and working with campaigns in the U.S. to help them be ready to combat Deepfakes and cybersecurity issues and provide training and resources for the responsible use of AI. Seth Reznik (Dems) and Ashley O'Rourke (GOP) are rockstars quietly making a difference in their and Microsoft's extensive efforts to help protect democracy in our nation and worldwide. I want to also give a shoutout to Chris Goddard, a fellow consultant to the team, for his tech know-how in the political space, which has been crucial.     This is a massive cause of burnout. Many leaders try to take too many things on at the same time. The irony is that they often do things they could delegate, or worse, do things that are actually in their employee's job description. For the latter, they do this for two reasons: because those things are familiar to them, and they don’t want to let go, or they don’t trust their team to do them as well as they can. Sounds familiar?

    Congratulations to Mike Hatzenbeler, who has decided to take on a new challenge after 28 remarkable years leading Seattle nonprofit PROVAIL. Mike has been one of my favorite clients. We've been working together for nearly two years, and in that time, I've always been impressed by his passion to serve, his kindness, and his willingness to try new things. The nonprofit he is moving to is very lucky to have him. I'm also excited that the board of Provail has entrusted the organization's running to Emily Kang Cantrell as interim CEO. Currently, the COO, Emily, is an absolute rockstar, and if you don't know her, you need to. She is a very talented and inspiring business leader and an incredibly passionate civic leader who invests a ton of her time and energy into making Seattle and the world a better (and safer) place.
