Back in April 2024, as guest speaker on stage at Running Remote we were saying that "AI is the biggest story of our generation." Well, it turns out that we still have a lot of challenges to overcome in making things fair and inclusive for all. Currently only 22% of AI employees globally are female, leaving a gender and skills gap which is all too common in tech sectors. According to a recent study conducted by Women Go Tech supported by Google Org. and the OSCE, women (in CEE) are still being held back from the #AI revolution. With data drawn from over 5,400 women across 13 countries, the study reveals a stark reality about the gender gap in AI usage and confidence in tech skills. This year's conference badges were made from wood-free cotton scrap paper embedded with marigold seeds, while the lanyards were made of cotton, both produced using solar energy. ☀ All you had to do was tear the paper into small pieces, plant it in soil, and give it water and sunshine to watch it grow, just like Fadi Boulos did.
