We are thrilled to share a picture of our first atomic cloud ! ☀   This atomic cloud, a beautiful 3 cm ensemble of neutral atoms levitating in a vacuum chamber and trapped by laser beams and magnetic fields, is at the heart of the quantum memory we are developing. ⚛ This extremely elongated shape is heir to the pioneering work of our co-founder and CSO Hardware Julien Laurat, who created the world's most efficient quantum memory at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel - LKB (Sorbonne Université/CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique/Université PSL). 👨🔬   Not only do we have this stunning cloud of atoms, but it is now part of a fully integrated, automated, and transportable system. Our quantum memory is the central component of our quantum interconnect solution, crucial for the scale-up of quantum computing. 🤝   This milestone is a key step in delivering our quantum memory product only 2 years after the inception of Welinq, bringing us closer to efficient interconnects and distributed quantum computing.   Proud of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team.
