Working with Suffolk Construction on this project in Los Angeles has been an absolute dream. When we talk to our customers about what's needed for automated layout to be a resounding success, we basically say exactly what Enoch Chow, RA, NCARB, Jorge Ruiz, and their team have done on this project. What are those things? ✅ Performed a high quality scan of existing conditions ✅ Adjusted the design model to align to the scan ✅ Created a detailed, multi-trade coordinated model that matched the contract documents ✅ Provided surveyed control aligned to the scan and model ✅ Adequately scheduled for automated layout to occur when site conditions were optimal, allowing for ~1-day per floor multi-trade layout Checking all of these boxes has allowed our team to print highly accurate multi-trade layout with incredible detail at lightning speed, unlocking huge schedule savings and accelerating the project. It's been a privilege to be partnered with such a high-caliber team! We have unleashed the power of automated layout!

Suffolk Construction is continuing to push the boundaries of #construction! We are leveraging #robotic layout for this one-of-a-kind #rennovation project here in #losangeles. This is a true end-to-end #3D data delivery: 👉 We leveraged #realitycapture to verify existing conditions 👉 Used that data in conjunction with #bim coordination (with the help from VIATechnik) 👉 Leveraged the coordinated model to output layouts for walls, doors, soffits, light fixtures, mech penetrations, HVAC unit locations 👉 Printed the #metadata from the model such as mark number, door hardware, wall type, room number, and more! Rugged Robotics has been an incredible partner on this project! Definitely checkout what they do! 🦾🦾🦾 Also shoutout to Jorge Ruiz who is the real hero behind this effort, along with support from the Suffolk field team. This couldn’t have happened without support and commitment from many stakeholders!! #suffolk #suffolkconstruction #robotics #roboticslayout #future #contech #construction #bim #vdc #innovation #rennovation

When we designed our Mark 1 robot, one of the top requirements was that it was "travel-ready" and could hop on the next plane as checked luggage, catch the next delivery van, or get dragged on a light jog for 16 blocks through New York to Penn Station (don't ask). But, just because we designed it like that doesn't mean we trust ourselves - every time we build or calibrate one of our robots, our engineering team gets to have a bit of fun certifying that it's truly job-ready.

Feldman Geospatial is once again showcasing its cutting-edge field printing technology this week, collaborating with Commodore Builders to precisely lay out architecturally exposed steel on a renowned Boston high-rise. The Rugged Robotics #Mark 1 is particularly suited for this intricate, sweeping, curved design. #Fieldprinting for layout is becoming increasingly popular due to several significant advantages: 1️⃣ Time Savings: This method greatly reduces the time required for complex layouts, including curves, point arrays, and detailed labeling. 2️⃣ Multi-trade Coordination: Field printing allows for simultaneous multi-trade layout, enhancing productivity and cost efficiency. 3️⃣ Worker Health: Perhaps the most underrated benefit is the positive impact on worker health. By enabling trade professionals to focus on installation rather than labor-intensive tasks like snapping chalk lines on their knees, field printing helps improve worker comfort and longevity on the job site. All field printers require accurate survey control, and this is where Feldman Geospatial excels -- by providing end-to-end layout and control. By leveraging our construction engineering expertise and integrating innovative technology like Rugged Robotics, we are transforming the layout process. Our precise survey control ensures that every aspect of the field printing is accurate and reliable, setting a new standard in the industry. Niall Curry Michael Mann

Excited to see Feldman Geospatial using one of our Mark1 robots to knock it out of the park on a recent project with Shawmut. While it's always a bit stressful turning over the keys to someone else, it's a lot easier when it's to the team at Feldman.

As we continue to grow our partnership with the fantastic team at Rugged Robotics, we're on to our next robotic layout project—this time with Shawmut Design and Construction on the Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary School site in Pawtucket, RI. The Shawmut team needed layout for some complex, jogged, and curved corridors, and we knew it was a job for the Rugged #Mark1. With robotic printing revolutionizing the construction industry, we're thrilled to be at the forefront of this game-changing technology. Stay tuned for updates on our progress!
