The Raleigh Police Department Foundation would like to express our sincere gratitude to First Horizon Bank for their generous support that makes community outreach programs like the this Youth Mentorship Baseball Camp possible. Yesterday, the Raleigh Police Department hosted a thrilling scrimmage between the Raleigh Boys & Girls Club teams! It was so wonderful to watch these young athletes showcase their dedication and teamwork, and we were honored to celebrate them with an awards ceremony and a special visit from Chief Patterson. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and sportsmanship throughout the camp.

The Raleigh Police Department Foundation is proud to support National Night Out, a nationwide initiative that strengthens the bond between our community and law enforcement. This year, on Tuesday, August 6th, we come together to celebrate a safer Raleigh! National Night Out is all about connection. It's a chance to get to know your neighbors, chat with your local community officers, and build a stronger sense of belonging in your neighborhood. Leaving your porch light on from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm symbolizes awareness and sends a message of unity. The Raleigh Police Department Foundation will be there to meet and greet! Stop by our tent at a participating National Night Out event and connect with us. We'll be happy to answer your questions and share information about our mission to support the Raleigh Police Department. #nationalnightout #raleighpolicedepartment

With National Police Week 2024 officially behind us, we wanted to take a minute to share some highlights, and demonstrate how incredibly grateful we are for the outpouring of support from our community for the brave men and women of the Raleigh Police Department. #NPW2024 kicked off with our capital city bathed in blue. Partners and businesses across Raleigh illuminated their buildings and storefronts in a grand symbolic gesture, creating a powerful visual expression of appreciation for our officers. The gratitude extended beyond visual displays, as countess delicious meals were provided for our officers throughout the week, providing a much-needed and heartwarming token of appreciation that kept them fueled during their long shifts. Furthermore, @vermillionstyle and @martasofraleigh , two of Raleigh’s favorite shopping spots, hosted special “Shop for a Cause” events. These incredible initiatives not only gave back to the department, but also focused on and encouraged community engagement. We were also proud to help facilitate the Wake County Fallen Officer’s Memorial Service held at Hayes Barton Baptist Church. A special thank you goes out to RPDF Board Member Judy Zelnak, who played a pivotal role in coordinating this event. Her dedication and efforts ensured a beautiful and meaningful tributes. Of course, it wouldn’t have been complete without recognizing our incredible K9 officers! We extend a huge thank you to these four-legged heroes who serve alongside their partners. National Police Week 2024 was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the incredible support from our partners and community. Each and every piece of this week served as a constant reminder of the deep appreciation we all hold for the Raleigh Police Department. #RPDFNPW2024 #thisisraleigh #raleighnc #raleighnonprofits #nationalpoliceweekrecap
