#RotaryResponds after Hurricane Helene and its effects battered areas of the southeastern United States. More than 200 people have died in the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Severe flooding also impacted the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Honduras, and Mexico. From fundraising and distributing supplies to rolling up their sleeves, our members are helping those affected by the storm. “This is why you are a Rotarian,” says Mark Middleton, a member of the Rotary Club of Dunedin North, Florida, USA. His club has five members whose homes were destroyed. “What a blessing it is that we can help and be there for them,” he says. #HurricaneHelene Learn more and donate to local efforts: https://lnkd.in/gBGifcs6

For 18 years, photographer Jean-Marc Giboux chased polio with his camera 📸 He followed this fight, capturing the unsung heroes —nurses, teachers, volunteers—working tirelessly to vaccinate children, even in the most challenging conditions. From refugee camps in Sudan to classrooms in India, his lens told a story of resilience and hope. Every photo tells a story, and every story is a reminder that a polio-free world is possible💜 This #WorldPolioDay, how will you share the story of our fight to #EndPolio? “I have treated both princes and paupers. Their sense of shame about mental illness is identical.” Dr. Geetha Jayaram has devoted her career to addressing mental health challenges for those facing severe illness compounded by poverty and barriers to care. In 2002, she launched Project Maanasi in Karnataka, India. “Maanasi,” meaning “of sound mind,” symbolizes her mission to improve mental health everywhere. With support from the Rotary Club of Bangalore and a Rotary Foundation grant, the project opened its first clinic, marking a significant step forward in community-based mental health care🩺🌍💙 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gByBZfNA
