Challenge: A people first organization with strong values wants to drive meaningful connection amongst a group of 25 diverse team members (in backgrounds and tenure with company (i.e. 32 years to 3 weeks)).
Solution: 2 hour hybrid "Identifying Roots and Nurturing Seeds by Cultivating Connection workshop" by Root & Seed Inc.
It was a true honour for Root & Seed Inc. co-founders Anika Chabra and Jennifer Siripong to facilitate a session with The Home Depot Canada, under the leadership of Carol-Ann Lawrie and her co-workers, Administrative Assistants (or what we like to call them, Chiefs of Staff) in departments across the organization. Using the Root & Seed workplace conversation cards (vetted and tested with HR professionals), group sharing and reflection tools, the team got to know each other on a level that didn't exist previous. A magical couple of hours of story telling and sharing, empathy and understanding built and participants left truly understanding more about each other and themselves.
A few *blushing* testimonials.
"Everyone NEEDS to do this. For themselves, for their families, for their peers. This is a MUST. It is worth the investment on EVERY level. Anika and Jenn are AWESOME to work with, they care, they ask good questions and they DELIVER!!!"
"I feel like this workshop was a mirror, that allowed me to look at myself, my relationships and reflect. Mirror not only shows us our flaws but also reflect back the beauty and I felt like this workshop allowed me to connect to my roots and look at the beauty for each relationship I have. It allowed me to reflect."
"This workshop is really great to create relatedness and connections with people around us and those who matter to us. It helped me look deeply into my relationships and how I can invest in them and be grateful for them and not take them for granted AND at the same time have some fun."
