The Ashley Gongaware Kertes Fund was established to eliminate financial barriers for students in the Greensburg Salem School District. Roechling Industrial Mt. Pleasant is committed to promoting careers in manufacturing and machining. Since late 2022, we’ve partnered with local schools, including the Pre-Apprenticeship program at Greensburg Salem High School and the STEAM Carnival at Hutchinson Elementary, inspiring nearly 600 K-5 students with hands-on STEAM activities. In 2023, we introduced "Play It Cool Plastics" to simplify CNC Machining for 5th graders through an engaging video and scavenger hunt, which highlighted machining, programming, and coding. This year, our "Industry Inventions" program had students use our materials to create innovative products for various industries, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. We’re proud to share our passion for manufacturing, build community connections, and inspire future generations. Roechling Industrial Mt. Pleasant looks forward to continuing this journey in the 2024-2025 school year.
