🌟 Partner Highlight Friday: Meet Rachel from One Bead 🌟 Rachel, an 11-year-old 6th grader, migrated to the United States in 2023. Hesitant at first, Rachel joined new Rodman for Kids' Charity Partner, One Bead, whose mission is to close the opportunity gap in Boston by introducing students to diverse professionals, at the start of the school year. Her mom shared how much One Bead has helped Rachel explore her curiosity, build confidence, and connect with the community. 🌟 Partner Highlight Friday: Sayde from Sibling Connections 🌟 Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Sayde, a participant at our wonderful Charity Partner, Sibling Connections! Through our collaboration, Sibling Connections continues to make a profound impact on the lives of siblings separated by the foster care system in Massachusetts, including Sayde and her brother, Ayden. 💛 Sayde shared her heartfelt experience of her time with Sibling Connections: "I like camp because I get to see my brother for a whole week and I don't get to see him much. My favorite things to do were making bracelets, painting, and eating meals. The horseback riding retreat was so fun. We learned a lot of things together." As a Charity Partner of Rodman for Kids, the funds Sibling Connections raises through the Rodman Ride for Kids directly impact their programs and give siblings more time together. Through their annual week of Camp Sibling Connections, Weekend Retreats, and Sibling Socials, Sibling Connections is able to provide invaluable opportunities for siblings like Sayde and Ayden to bond, create memories, and strengthen their relationships. Partner Highlight Friday: Rodman for Kids & UMass Memorial Medical Center 🚴♂️❤️ Today, we’re excited to shine a light on our incredible partnership with UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center and share a heartwarming story of impact. 🌟 A dedicated member of the Injury Prevention Team recently visited the Emergency Department with a special delivery—a bike helmet for a young patient. This child had come in with (thankfully) non-serious injuries from a bike accident, but didn't have a helmet for future rides. Thanks to the generous support from Rodman for Kids' event sponsorship last year, this patient is now heading home with a brand-new helmet—essentially a prescription for safety! 🚴♀️🛡️ This story exemplifies the essence of our mission: to provide resources and opportunities that protect and empower our youth. Through partnerships like this, we’re making a tangible difference in the lives of children and their families. We are incredibly proud of our partnership with UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center and grateful for their dedication to child safety and wellbeing.
