Register today for the Nature-based Learning Symposium on August 20. This year’s theme for the Nature-based Learning Symposium is: The Right to Nature. We cultivate a healthy, equitable, and sustainable community through nature based learning and community building.
About us
The Rochester Ecology Partners improve community connectedness through the power of nature. Our organization works to improve individual, community, and environmental well-being and contributes to an educational system that connects people in our city to nature, the places they live, and each other. By building these relationships we will encourage the adoption of an ecological mindset in our community where there is a better understanding of the relationship between our social and environmental systems. Our community’s most pressing challenges can be solved with an approach that considers how everything is connected.

We are excited to announce that Rochester Ecology Partners has moved into a new home at 224 Mt Hope Ave! The South Wedge Planning Committee has generously agreed to share their space with us and we feel it will be an excellent fit. The space itself has everything we need: office space, program prep space, and even somewhere to get hot chocolate ready while we wash hats and gloves. We are particularly excited about the fact it is directly across from the newly renovated Genesee Gateway Park (kayak meetings anyone?). What truly makes it a terrific opportunity is the chance to build our relationship with a mission-aligned community partner. The coming months will be filled with more of what we hoped to be and do when we launched REP and we hope you will join us in making this transition. https://lnkd.in/gZCUqmQi

Rochester Ecology Partners is pleased to introduce Loretta Hauslauer as our newest Nature-based Learning Educator. “Nature allows me to see myself as a part of something much bigger than me; something that is complex and interconnected with the community that I live in. It’s a humbling and inviting feeling.” Read more on our website: https://lnkd.in/gxVEgVAG

This is an awesome photo isn't it? If you agree you can vote for it and help us win a contest that will make it possible for us to offer a young person (or more!) the opportunity to sled, build snowmen or just smile with some snow on their face this winter. https://lnkd.in/gN6bYVtW Thanks to Evan Lowenstein for catching this moment.
