We had an incredible time at #JFFHorizons this week! Over the course of two days, we met so many inspiring leaders, connected with hundreds of people about how we’re contributing to the world of workforce development, and hosted a panel with the phenomenal roadtrippers from our upcoming film, “Built On Skills”! Thank you to the eight leaders who took the time to share their inspiring stories with us and the Horizons Ambassadors, Walmart’s Sean Murphy for moderating our panel discussion, the “Built On Skills” roadtrippers—Petra, Garrett, and Avery—for their vulnerability in sharing their journeys, and everyone who took the time to stop by our table! #RoadtripNation
About us
Roadtrip Nation creates and distributes best-in-class career exploration content, products, and experiences to help individuals pursue fulfilling careers based on what’s important to them. We’re one part media company, one part career education platform, and one hundred percent mission-driven. We believe there’s power in doing work that’s true to who you are. That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to helping people explore career possibilities that connect to their interests. We seek out inspiring individuals who’ve built lives around what they love, then share their stories in award-winning documentaries on public television and an online archive featuring thousands of conversations about struggle and success. We also provide a process for how to navigate the career journey, with curriculums, career discovery resources, live events, and our New York Times best-selling career guide, Roadmap. Along the way, we have benefited from world-class partnerships with great brands, foundations, and people who are passionate about making change in the world. We took our first road trip in 2001, driven by the question of how to build a life doing what you love. The answers we found showed us that this was bigger than our journey alone. Since then, we’ve been driven by one mission: to create a movement of people empowered to define their own roads in life.

Happy #NationalInternDay! We had the opportunity to have three rockstar interns, Maddie, Ally, and Celine, join us this summer and work with our Design department! From improving our photo archive’s usability to furthering their skills in Photoshop, we hope this opportunity was a chance for these young leaders to gain real-world experience and learn more about what their dream careers might look like! They also got a chance to truly embrace the Roadtrip Nation culture by interviewing a Roadtrip Nation staff member and asking them for career advice! It was a pleasure to work with them this summer and we’re excited for what the future holds for these three! Thanks to CLAOC Brighter Futures for connecting us with them! #RoadtripNation #CareerExploration

I’ve got an opportunity for 3 Black men. Roadtrip Nation is going to pay you and two friends to take a trip as they help you navigate your career. The real kicker here is they will also turn this experience into a documentary. You’ll get all the proper training and have access to mental health professionals to help you balance school, traveling, and filming all while getting paid. If you know a Black man in college between the ages of 18-24, send them this post because Roadtrip Nation is casting right now! Happy Pride Month! Embracing Pride in the workplace is essential for promoting diversity, inclusion, and acceptance. 🏳️🌈 We got to speak with Giuliana Garcia, the manager of Reality Labs at META, who reminded us of the importance of being true to yourself in the workplace, and being supportive and accepting of others, too! #PrideMonth #RoadtripNation #CareerAdvice

We officially made it through graduation season! To all of the new graduates out there, we know this time may feel really complex. Whether you’re feeling excited to start a new job, lost because you’re still trying to figure out what you want to do with your life, or anything in between, we’re here to remind you that this is the first time in your life that you truly get to decide how you want to live it. The journey may have its ups and down, but everything will work itself out. Each opportunity you take is one that you will learn from. And, if it helps—a lot of the people around you have been in your shoes before, so don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions! #graduation #newgrads #careeradvice

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of what’s possible when hope and resilience triumph. As we commemorate this day of liberation, let us honor the strength of those who fought for freedom and continue to work towards equality and justice for all. May this day inspire us to reflect on our history and commit to building a brighter, more equitable future together. 💚❤️💛 #Juneteenth #RoadtripNation #CareerAdvice
