For National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we will be spotlighting many volunteers who give their time and talent to support the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and Northern Arizona. When Mike Cardoso Service1st Company was first approached to join the RMHCCNAZ Board of Directors, his decision was clear. Giving back to the community had always been a personal priority for Mike, and being nominated by a close, respected friend only solidified his decision. The opportunity to contribute to an organization that directly supported children and their families during challenging times felt like the perfect fit. For anyone considering volunteering at RMHC, Mike’s advice is, “Do it! I assure you that you will get much more out of the experience than you put in”. After six years of volunteering, Mike finds himself continually drawn back to the RMHCNAZ mission, because of the incredible staff, and the privilege of being part of such an amazing Board. “Mike is an incredible human who is thoughtful, considerate, generous, and kind. His passion for our Mission and the families we serve is clear by his dedication and commitment to the House. Jose is a courageous baby boy from Gila Bend, AZ. The Roanoke House has served as his family's home while he receives cardiac-related care. After 217 nights Jose can finally be reunited with his siblings. We're honored to have been a part of this family's journey.
