Personal Support Built on Personal Experience

About us

Established in 1991, RIPIN helps thousands of Rhode Islanders every year turn challenging situations into opportunities to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. Peer professionals helping Rhode Islanders of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds get the support they need to thrive. RIPIN’s programs and services are rooted in the peer-to-peer model of support, education and empowerment, where a RIPIN peer with personal experience assists others as a mentor, advocate, and motivator. RIPIN has certified 67 employees as Community Health Worker(CHW), representing over 75% of certified CHWs in the state. With national recognition for its model, RIPIN’s peer CHWs are part of patient-centered medical home settings, physicians’ offices as well as primary and secondary educational settings across the state. RIPIN is headquartered in Warwick, RI. For more information visit http://www.ripin.org/

Our commitment to racial justice goes beyond words. That's why our offices will be closed today in observance of this important holiday. And our work continues throughout the year. The RIPIN Racial Justice Steering Team actively works to ensure our business practices and interactions are conducted with inclusivity and equity in mind, from all-staff professional development opportunities to individual support.
