We are thrilled to announce two fantastic additions to our growing team! Please join us in welcoming Grace Prem and Jason Smiley to RJA. Grace joins our Columbus office as an Associate for our Energy & Infrastructure practice. She brings a wealth of experience in product management, having previously worked closely with facility directors and owners to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions for utility configurations and setups. Her expertise aligns well with RJA's commitment to excellence in executing Energy and Infrastructure P3s. Jason joins our Charlotte Office as a Senior Project Manager for our Design & Construction advisory practice. Bringing 20 years of project management experience, Jason most recently served as a Lead Construction Manager at Wells Fargo. His leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand RJA's Owner's Representative projects in North Carolina and beyond. Welcome to the team, Grace and Jason! 

Project Update! Construction is well underway on the new Mines Park community at Colorado School of Mines! Cross-laminated timber panels are in place on the first of five new buildings within the community, and the last of seven phases of renovations is nearing completion! When the project is complete, over 300 renovated and over 650 newly constructed beds will be delivered to undergraduate and graduate students. Milestone Alert! Fayetteville State University's new 336-bed residence hall has started installation of structural steel! RJA is proud to work alongside Fayetteville State and serve as their Design and Construction Advisor for the new residence hall project. Slated for a grand opening in 2025, this project will fulfill the demand for additional student housing on a growing campus.

RJA had the privilege of partnering with Penn State University to execute a hospitality Public-Private Partnership (P3) for their two on-campus hotels: the Nittany Lion Inn and the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. The P3 will provide significant capital improvements to both assets, including a full interior remodel for the Nittany Lion Inn. The partnership transfers all day-to-day operations for both hotels to a prominent management company.   Combined, the two hotels represent 523 keys and nearly 80,000 square feet of total conference and meeting space, making it one of the largest university hospitality P3 transactions to date.   The RJA team is excited about the opportunities that this project creates for Penn State in support of their Resource Optimization Initiative. RJA is thrilled to continue serving as the University of North Carolina School of the Arts owner's representative and capital project advisor on the transformative renovation of the Steven's Center! We are excited to partner with Jenkins•Peer Architects and Steinberg Hart - two best-in-class design firms - to help support the School of the Art's vision to modernize this historic venue and continue to serve our UNC System institutional partners.

Having previously interned with us, Sam brings experience and enthusiasm to his new full-time role. He recently graduated from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business and has a background in multifamily asset management and construction. Sam has the RJA entrepreneurial spirit - having already founded and successfully run his own residential worksite management company.
