"Many people want to break generational trauma," Dr. Dana Watson says, "They want to do better. They just sometimes do not have the very basic breaks that would allow them to do that, to break out of the cycle or to make the changes that they know they want to make in the future." How can we advocate for people with mental health issues? Read what the experts have to say in this short recap of a 100 Families Initiative meeting. https://lnkd.in/ghfZARun

This is such a great podcast featuring Casey Beard, Juvenile Division Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, and Montez Hardaway, who works at the prosecutor’s office and has lived experience with child welfare and juvenile justice system. It is incredible that Pulaski County Prosecutor Will Jones, Cheif Deputy Prosecutor Kelly Ward, and Casey are investing in an innovative approach. They are committed to prosecuting and keeping our community safe, but they are taking a parallel approach to strategically identify juvenile cases and situations where they can work collaboratively with the juvenile, family, and community to implement strategies to reduce violence and connect with youth and families to prevent interactions with the criminal or child welfare system. Thank you for investing and leading with a transformational approach to move upstream and help youth be successful! I loved the partnership and shout out to Restore Hope and Carter’s crew!

We are thrilled and deeply grateful to announce that we have been chosen as a grant recipient by the Blue & You Foundation! 🙌 The grant is designed to improve the well-being of Arkansans by implementing projects that will address the social determinants of health. Social determinants of health are the conditions in which you are born, grow, live, and work that can impact your overall health - economic stability, neighborhoods and safe housing, healthcare access, access to quality education, and social and community context. Restore Hope will be using the grant funding to expand its 100 Families Initiative into Mississippi, Independence, and Jefferson counties, offering families collaborative case management. The funding will also provide direct client assistance with transportation, food, childcare, housing, and education needs. Thank you for your continued support! 💙 #Grateful #GrantRecipient #CommunitySupport #ThankYou #MakingADifference #TogetherWeCan
