Throughout this month, we bring different perspectives together to understand what urban resilience means and what strategies and initiatives can help build it, so that internally displaced peoples can integrate into communities and residents are supported. On July 3, 2024, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) released an updated Resilience Policy. This policy provides a roadmap for USAID’s work over the next decade in helping people, communities, and countries protect and improve their well-being in the face of the accelerating frequency and intensity of shocks and stresses.
