Scott Levitan, our CEO and president, recently spoke at Bisnow’s “Triangle State of the Market” event, a conference focused on real estate and economic development in the Triangle region. During the “Fireside Chat: Research Triangle Park Activity Outlook” session, Scott was joined by industry leaders Katharine Eggleston, PE of GoTriangle and Justin Trowbridge of White Point to discuss the exciting developments taking place at Hub RTP, the Park’s vibrant new downtown district. Hub RTP is poised to become a central gathering place for the next generation of workers, offering 1,200 apartments, a 279-unit Marriot Renaissance RTP hotel, 50K square feet of retail, 1M square feet of office and lab space and more – all within a walkable community. This development is a crucial part of RTP 3.0, the strategic plan guiding the evolution of RTP and outlining advancements for companies within the region over the next 50 years. This plan aims to drive workplace innovation and build a dynamic community across the different nodes of the Park. Thanks to long-term vision initiatives like RTP 3.0, ongoing projects like Hub RTP and partnerships to enhance regional multimodal connectivity, RTP will be well positioned to meet the needs of the 1 million new residents expected in the region by 2050. We’re thrilled to see projects like Renaissance RTP, MAA Nixie, Horseshoe RTP and GoTriangle’s Mobility Hub transforming the Park into a true 24-hour destination where people can work, play and stay.
