The Rescue in Color bleeding control system is designed so that anyone, regardless of their level of training, is equipped to provide life-saving assistance confidently and effectively. Our mission is to enhance comprehensive school and community safety plans by ensuring every victim of uncontrolled bleeding has access to life-saving medical equipment. As medical experts, law enforcement professionals, and parents of school-aged children, we scoured the market searching for an affordable bleeding control kit that contains quality equipment, is thoughtfully arranged and easy to use with little or no training. Disappointed by the results and unwilling to compromise, we created Rescue in Color. Rescue in Color is more than a product. We are experts in this field and fierce advocates for safer learning and community environments.

Police are heard clearing the building and told EMS to wait. The recordings captured how police couldn’t open locked doors inside the school and while they waited for a key it took more than 30 minutes to check the building. “When you have victims that have been shot with a high-powered rifle, they need EMS treatment immediately and it's situations like CVPA, and why we need to have all of the details of this incident be public and be transparent,” said David Riedman, a researcher who’s spent years studying school shootings for the K-12 School Shooting Database. Riedman reviewed the recordings uncovered by First Alert 4 Investigates and said he believes they reveal lessons. “In this case, it shows that there's a procedural failure for these victims if they're waiting 20 minutes inside when the shooter is already dead,” Riedman said. “For some reason, policies have been built at schools, that even though we know somebody is dying, even though the police radio says we've got a victim here, they're really not doing well, you have EMS resources standing outside. We really need to reassess the level of risk versus the reward.”
