Linking Strategy, People and Culture to Create High Performing Organizations

About us

The majority of corporate “transformations” fail to meet their objectives. We know it is usually not because of a flawed business strategy, but due to poor people management or approaches that have not changed, despite the very different business model evolution. What I’ve found over my 25 years of experience is few capable CEOs, department heads or senior managers have the same level of expertise when it comes to knowing how to change their management approaches during times of change or company transformation. We partner with C-suite executives, department heads, or transitioning individuals to develop practical, specific and tactical leadership skills and behaviors that unblock their success, all with an eye to achieving very quantifiable improvements in performance. You'll get the guidance needed to create high performing inclusive workplaces, identifies the key differentiating behaviors. • Halfway There, Goals Far Off? Here's Your Mid-Year Realignment Guide. I worked with a director who realized her team was falling short of their Q2 targets. She took this as an opportunity for a strategic pause to reassess. After much discussion, we gathered her team for a mid-year review, where we evaluated progress, identified roadblocks, and recalibrated their approach. We used these questions to jumpstart the review process: ✔️Review your initial goals: Are they still relevant? ✔️Assess progress: What have you accomplished? ✔️Adjust strategies: What changes are necessary to achieve your goals by year-end? Realigning mid-year is not just about catching up—it's about optimizing your strategy to end the year strong. #Leadership #GoalSetting #MidYearReview #BusinessStrategy

  • We’re at the mid-year mark. This is the perfect time to reflect and recalibrate. This week focuses on reflecting on the past year and how that knowledge can propel the next 6 months. Spend time this week evaluating these two questions: 1️⃣ What challenges have you faced as a business owner so far this year? 2️⃣What opportunities have arisen? It’s important to learn from what’s working and what’s not. This time of year is a good time to evaluate those things and use them to update or change your tactics for the rest of the year so you can meet your goals. #MidYearReview #BusinessLeadership #Opportunities #Challenges

  • According to the APA’s 2023 Work in America workforce survey, a staggering 94% of employees value a sense of belonging in their workplace. Earlier in the week, we discussed a few general ways to increase workplace connection. Focus on these when creating group activities and creating connections: ⭐Prioritize Connection: Allocate regular times for social interaction, such as social hours at week's end or informal chats before meetings. ⭐️Structured Activities: Employ icebreakers or shared tasks to help team members, especially remote ones, feel connected. ⭐️Establish Norms: Set clear expectations for teamwork and communication, particularly for remote collaboration. ⭐️Encourage Flexibility: Allow teams the autonomy to develop their own norms, respecting the diverse ways different groups connect. ⭐️Get Creative: Innovate with virtual mentoring or retreats to maintain connections without needing a physical return to the office. Creating a workplace where employees feel they belong not only enhances productivity but also supports well-being and job satisfaction. Let's be intentional about building these connections. • Are your employees as engaged and empowered as they should be midway through the year? Mid-year is a critical time to gauge not just the progress towards business goals but also the emotional and professional well-being of your team. Ignoring signs of disengagement can lead to decreased productivity and morale, affecting your bottom line and workplace atmosphere. Address this by having open, one-on-one discussions with your team members. Ask for their feedback on what's working and what's not, and what they need to feel more empowered. These discussions not only boost morale but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement and open communication. Get insights and up-to-date leadership news and advice like this in my newsletter. • July is Social Wellness Month, a perfect time to foster stronger connections within your workplace. This week, think about ways to foster more socializing at work. It might seem antithetical to encourage more socialization. But if your employees find relationships and connections at work, they will be happier, more engaged, and more productive. As a leader, you can enhance social wellness by: 👍Organizing team-building activities that encourage collaboration and friendship 👍Promoting open communication channels for both personal and professional growth 👍Recognizing the achievements that contribute to a supportive work environment 👍Encouraging different teams to mix to work on projects Initiatives like these not only strengthen team bonds but also boost morale and productivity, creating a healthier and more connected workplace. #SocialWellnessMonth #Leadership #TeamBuilding #WorkplaceWellness
