Simplicity is key! And this philosophy extends to #FoodWaste reduction. During summer festivities and other holidays, what matters most is focusing on behavioral and mindset changes. The solution to the problem seems to largely point to the need to be more conscious and appreciative of food, and to conserve, plan better and reuse as much as possible. The data speaks for itself: https://loom.ly/d87RMHM #behavioralchange

Think you know everything about restaurant #FoodWaste and where it occurs most? Think again. Prism, one of six grantees to receive funding through the new ReFED #CatalyticGrantFund, targets food that spoils before chefs have used it. Their patent-pending solution is a controlled atmosphere container that can be stored in restaurants’ walk-in fridges, enabling restaurateurs to extend the shelf-life of produce, reduce waste and potentially reduce the number of fresh food deliveries per week.
