Last month, we had the pleasure of participating in the MedTech Innovator 2024 Summit and Wilson Sonsini's 31st Annual Medical Device & Digital Health Conference. The #InnovatorSummit2024 in Mountain View, CA, was an amazing experience for the ReConstruct Bio team. We had the chance to connect with incredible MedTech and BioTools companies and so many exceptional and inspiring MedTech Innovator alumni, mentors, and partners! In addition, we had the exciting opportunity to pitch at Wilson Sonsini's 31st Annual Medical Device & Digital Health Conference in San Francisco, which led to many exciting follow-up connections! ReConstruct Bio is an innovative venture emerging from Harvard’s Wyss Institute, aimed at redefining the fields of medical reconstruction and aesthetics. The initial application of our groundbreaking technology is in breast reconstruction and augmentation. With a multidisciplinary team of experts, we've developed the BioImplant—a living, bioengineered tissue created from the patient’s own cells. This innovation provides a safer, more natural alternative to current standards, which are often associated with significant drawbacks and health concerns.

We're proud to partner with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) to accelerate the growth of innovative companies working to improve patient safety, experience, and outcomes in plastic surgery. Approximately 80 companies entered the MTI/ASPS competition this year, and 12 advanced to the live-pitch judging phase, where the top five were selected to represent the plastic surgery track. These five companies have become part of MTI's 2024 cohort of 65 amazing startups!
