There was a lot of talk about AI at the Realcomm Events COI Summit at CBRE's offices in London yesterday. I have already experimented with an AI summary of my recording of the panel session on 'Evolving Smart Building Technologies - Lessons Learned' I moderated. But here is an AI Podcast summary of my conversation with the following: - Fiona Sawkill at British Land - James Atkins at FPC Global - Kathy Farrington at Google - Harri John MRICS at CBRE Would be interested to hear your thoughts, particularly from those who participated and attended. In the meantime, you can also read the summary notes here: https://lnkd.in/e4hN9k77

Thank you to Howard Berger for an engaging Realcomm Events Forum at CBRE yesterday, with Remit Consulting as the Educational Partner. It was fascinating to connect with so many industry experts and discuss the ways AI can be integrated into business. The dialogue around AI’s power consumption and the potential to drive ESG initiatives added a thought-provoking dimension. Kudos to Andrew Waller as well for moderating a truly insightful panel discussion.

Real estate technology is never homeostatic. There’s always change. And we actually want and benefit from allostasis as the state of real estate technology. It’s a requirement to be able to sift through the noise and hype and see the path forward. You may think 2024 has been a busy year in real estate technology at Visa. We’ve moved into a brand new global market center in San Francisco with multiple smart systems, an employee app, and state of the art conference room and network technology. One might look at that list of 2024 accomplishments and be wowed. But everything I just mentioned took years to accomplish, years of baby steps and incremental change by a whole lot of people on multiple teams working together. Incremental progress is actually the secret to success. Looking at the next year, a year that is hard to predict until after the innagutation of the next US president, I see more incremental progress. I think we at Visa and in the broader corporate real estate technology space will spend time focusing on value-generating solutions where the return on investment is clear. I also see us focusing on best practices and standards. I see us fine tuning our skills so we are ready and agile for whatever comes our way. What do you see? What do you want to learn about at CoRETech? #Realcomm #CoRETech2024 #corporaterealestate #technology Conference Link: https://lnkd.in/gagBhYrk
