Chief Evangelist at FMG Suite | Marketing Finance Tech | Investment News 40 Under 40 | WealthManagement.Com “10 to Watch” | ThinkAdvisor Luminary. Follow me for marketing strategies to grow your advisory firm 🚀

🤯75% of advisory firm clients in the US have either either switched, or thought about switching financial advisors in the last year.* At Future Proof in Huntington Beach, CA this week (in addition to walking on my face on the Futureproof hollywood walk of fame 😂 —see photo), I also joined Sean Brown of YCharts and Adam Cox of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls and we had a great discussion full of practical, tactical tips and ideas on how to drastically improve the way you communicate and market…..we also had slides that highlighted the state of how clients currently feel about communication from their advisors in the US. (Hint hint: the majority of clients want much MORE communication from their advisor) A few tips I shared: 1. When creating content, think about PAIN POINTS. Retirement is a long- way-in -the -future thing. But something like taxes, or healthcare costs- those come up year after year, every year, and therefore feel more immediate. 2. Use Google trends to see what Americans are searching for- then ask AI for ideas on how to connect those pop culture and news trends to financial planning lessons you can make podcast/video/blogs about 3. We at FMG found that when clients were texted a reminder about completing paperwork/docusign- they returned it within just FIVE minutes on average**. Meet people where they are already spending time - and don’t underestimate the power of 1:1 personalized communications *According to YCharts client communication survey. 🔴Comment “report” if you want the full report /slides we covered and I’ll send it your way. **Based on data from MyRepChat, an FMG company If client and prospect communication is a pain point for you and your looking for someone to help you write emails and social posts and do your drip marketing and get contnet out within hours after news breaks… message me! #futureproof2024 #futureproofFestival #wealthmanagement

Evaluate your financial advisor and reduce your fees.

Headlines are buzzing about lawsuits against major banks for offering meager returns on clients' cash balances through their cash sweep accounts. This issue isn’t new—it’s been happening for years. Despite promises of "increased" yields, the reality is stark. 🤯 Money market funds are currently yielding 5% , not 2% and certainly not .02%. 🤯 But here’s the thing: Investors shouldn’t rely on lawsuits to maximize their returns. ✅ A fiduciary independent advisor is committed to acting in your best interest ALL the time—not the brokerage's. At Rainbook, we believe in transparency. Our cash optimizer has been revealing the true earnings on cash since last year. Plus, we can connect you with a fiduciary advisor for a free portfolio review. Check it out today if you haven't already! https://lnkd.in/exqN3KWm

Clients at leading wealth management firms are about to see a significant increase in the returns on their cash. Whether driven by client demands or regulatory pressures for advisors to uphold their fiduciary duties, this change is a welcome development. 👀 With current short-term treasury rates yielding over 5%, many clients have been receiving only 0.05% to 0.50% on their cash. 🤯 Rainbook's Cash Optimizer can show you exactly how much you're earning on your cash and identify opportunities to reduce both management and fund fees.

As always, Michael Kitces delivers candid remarks on the financial advice industry. Commissions and Advice were once a separate ballgame before The Great Convergence. It is overdue that they be separated again. We believe clients should be working with a fiduciary advisor who is fee only and not collecting commissions on top. Find out if your advisor is a fiduciary at Rainbook. #MICUS
