Last week thanks to Dimple Koticha ✔️Jinisha Bhatt and I were privileged to educate the Women in Solution Engineering at Salesforce. I live discussing how we can engineer our way out of #humantrafficking. Solution engineers, are always striving to solve complex problems, but few are as pressing and urgent as the fight against human trafficking. Technology has the power to not only disrupt, but eradicate this heinous practice, and it’s time for us to use our skills for the greater good. From advanced data analytics and machine learning to trace traffickers and identify patterns, to blockchain solutions that improve transparency in supply chains, there’s immense potential for technology to drive real change. It’s not just about tools; it’s about partnerships. Engineers, businesses, NGOs, and governments need to collaborate and create solutions that are robust, scalable, and human-centered. By bringing innovation, passion, and determination, we can engineer a future where exploitation no longer thrives. Let’s take action and use our skills to make the world safer and more just. What happened in India last week is heartbreaking, but the truth is, it’s happening all around the world. A young woman, who worked at one of the Big 4 firms, tragically passed away after being crushed by the overwhelming pressure at her job. She worked tirelessly to achieve her dream, but the demands became too much, and sadly, she’s no longer with us. This isn’t an isolated incident. Labor trafficking doesn’t just happen in factories or low-wage jobs—it happens in corporate offices, too. When employees are pushed to their breaking points, forced into unhealthy work environments, and treated as nothing more than resources, it’s a form of exploitation. It’s time we start having real conversations about how toxic work cultures are affecting people’s lives. We need to push for healthier environments where employees’ mental and physical health is prioritized. Look out for the people around you. Sometimes, a simple check-in can make all the difference. #LaborTrafficking #WorkplaceWellbeing #RaiseAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #SupportEachOther
