qPharmetra's core values are in the three C's: #Creativity, #Consistency, and #Collaboration. If we were to add a fourth C, it would surely be #Connection! Being a company with colleagues geographically spread across Europe and the US, we value meeting in person with all our colleagues twice a year to connect, discuss science and the company's future, and enjoy life. We choose locations in Europe or the US that aim to balance nice locations with minimal travel burden across our colleagues: this is a fun challenge as we're steadily growing over the years! Take a look at this map and some throwback pictures to see where we've been and how we've enjoyed our time together. Next week, we'll be having one of those face-to-face meetings again! This time, we will meet in the "Music City": Nashville, Tennessee! We are looking forward to a week full of cowboy boots, guitar strumming, and -of course- #pharmacometrics!

#Throwback to an amazing face-to-face meeting in Uppsala and Steningevik. In April, we could once again enjoy a wonderful couple of days reconnecting with colleagues, tackling challenges and building the future of qPharmetra. We even had time for a nice photo session! The attentive eye might see some new faces in our group picture, so allow us to introduce:   Ingrid Haglund, our new compliance manager started in September in our team, making sure all our work is compliant with the latest quality standards and our clients' expectations. She is supporting us from our office in Uppsala or remotely from her home office.   Julia Fullenkamp, strengthening our data sciences team, also started in September and has been providing us with excellent data management support from her home office in Hannover.   Undine Falkenhagen, our latest associate consultant pharmacometrics began her qP journey in March, bringing her strong technical and mathematical knowledge to the German team, working either from her home office or the Berlin office.   We are thrilled to have these people on board, and are looking forward to a fruitful #collaboration for many years to come!   #pharmacometrics #teambuilding #qpharmetra #newhires #notsonewhires

Psychedelic medications have demonstrated promising results in the treatment of important mental health disorders such as PTSD and treatment-resistant depression. This article (https://lnkd.in/eD9WK35F ) by our colleague Ben Suttle and colleagues James Rucker, Claire Roberts, Mathieu Seynaeve, Allan Young, Takahiro Yamamoto, Anna Ermakova, Fiona Dunbar and Frank Wiegand MD PhD describes the results of a Phase 1 study of an intranasal formulation of the short-acting psychedelic 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine. These results are an important step toward development of a psychedelic medication with the advantages of both a rapid onset and short duration of action to treat important mental health disorders. #pharmacology #mentalhealth #qPharmetra #psychedelics
