🚀 We SLASHED $1,519 from our AWS bill in 15 minutes! 🤯 Startup CTOs, listen up! This is your wake-up call to serious cloud savings. Pump.co is the coolest demo I ever got live! How it goes: - 15 mins call - You deploy 2 cloud formation stacks - Nearly 50% off your AWS bill (proof below) My numbers: ☠️ Before: $3,354 🔥 After: $1,834 That's $1,519 back in our pocket! 💰 And they even gave me free AWS credits, I could not ask for more ❤️ How? ➡️ They leverage group buying and reserved instances, which are things you rarely do as a startup or medium-sized company I was so impressed, I joked about stealing a sales job just to see more shocked faces! 😂 This isn't sponsored - it's a CTO-to-CTO heads up. Don't leave money on the table!

STARTUP NEWS: ️🔥 What's happening in the tech & startup world today? Elon musk 𝕏, OpenAI, Google, and Humane... Aug 14, 2024 Humane → Returns are flowing in… - The Verge Reports that returns for Humane’s $699 AI Pin are starting to flow in. - “Between May and August, more AI Pins were returned than purchased according to internal sales data obtained by The Verge” - Only about 8,000 - 7,000 units have not been returned and are still in customers hands - According to The Verge, out of the company's $9M in sales, $1M has been returned. Google → Trouble for Google… - OpenAI launches a search competitor and Google loses a landmark antitrust case. - A judge on Monday ruled that Google illegally maintains a monopoly over internet search. This comes shortly after OpenAI announced their search competitor SearchGPT which is currently in its prototype stage. - The decision issued by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta comes nearly a year after the start of a trial - Google “enjoys an 89.2% share of the market for general search services, which increases to 94.9% on mobile devices” How could this change things? - New Search Engines: Google might have to share its tech, leading to specialized search engines. - Lower Ad Costs: More competition could reduce advertising costs and product prices. - Google Breakup: Google could be split into smaller companies. OpenAI → Lawsuits… - Elon Musk, one of the company's co-founders, is reigniting his lawsuit against OpenAI. - The suit claims that the company, CEO Sam Altman, and President Greg Brockman, broke their founding mission to develop open-source AGI for humanity's benefit. - In 2018, Musk floated the idea of merging OpenAI with Tesla, according to communications shared by OpenAI. - Musk dropped a previous lawsuit in June for undisclosed reasons. X → “Now, it is war” - X is suing advertisers for “an illegal boycott” - From @elonmusk “We tried peace for 2 years, now it is war” - Rumble Has joined 𝕏 in the lawsuit - "To put it simply, people are hurt when the marketplace of ideas is undermined and some viewpoints are not funded over others as part of an illegal boycott." - "That is why, today, X has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), and GARM members CVS Health, Mars, Orsted and Unilever. This is not a decision we took lightly, but it is a direct consequence of their actions." - @lindayx(𝕏) - Linda Yaccarino references a report from the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan that states “Evidence obtained by the Committee shows that GARM and its members directly organized boycotts and used other indirect tactics to target disfavored platforms, content creators, and news organizations in an effort to demonetize and, in effect, limit certain choices for consumers."
