As companies grow, they often try to scale their process for managing equity in-house. That can lead to complexity, especially if they have equity-based incentives. DataOceans found that after 18 years managing their equity in-house, they needed a better solution. They tried a number of cap table technology providers, but those providers were unwilling to dive in to the underlying complexity of their cap table.
