#PHAB has several tools that can be used to gather data related to the delivery of foundational activities including the #FPHS Capacity & Cost Assessment, #Workforce Calculator, and Readiness Assessment. These tools can be used independently or together to assess the landscape of FPHS in a community, assess capacity (staffing/expertise) and cost associated with the delivery of foundational activities, and establish estimates of future capacity and cost needs. Data from the assessments can be used to: ▪ Inform overall planning efforts, ▪ Advocate for necessary resources like staff and sustainable funding ▪ Identify strategies and innovative solutions to address identified gaps Interested in getting started with FPHS? Health departments have a fundamental responsibility to provide #publichealth protections and services in a number of areas. Public health programs, or Foundational Areas (FAs), are basic public health, topic specific programs and services aimed at improving the health of the community. The Foundational Areas reflect the minimum level of service that should be available in all communities. Swipe to learn more about the five FAs.
