Did you know that AmeriCorps is on the chopping block in its 30th anniversary year? Congress is debating FY25 appropriations bills and catastrophic cuts to AmeriCorps have been proposed. The House has recommended eliminating funding for AmeriCorps State and National, AmeriCorps NCCC, the State Service Commissions, and the National Service Trust, threatening over 71,000 #AmeriCorps service positions, including those at Public Allies. Join us and #Stand4Service TODAY! You can use these tools to contact your members of Congress and tell them to reject proposed cuts and support an increased investment for #NationalService. Why are we still having to fight so hard for our dignity? Why are we cloaked in power in the form of titles but with little else to show for it? 🥥 Check out this article by Nonprofit Quarterly on the reckonings needed to support Black women at all levels of leadership: https://lnkd.in/dbWi3yZA

Love love LOVE! Congrats on 30 years, Public Allies Wisconsin! 🧡 #REPOST from Public Allies Wisconsin —— It's hard to believe it's already been nearly a month since our spectacular 30th Anniversary Gala! We know you've been eagerly awaiting the photos, and we can't wait to share them with you. We're still basking in the love, laughter, and joy that filled the night. Describing the magic of Public Allies is never easy—the love, the care, the community—but that night came close. The room was packed, stories were shared, and the love was felt. We are profoundly GRATEFUL to every person, organization, and donation that supported our mission. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And now, here are some photos! (More to come!)
