At the beginning of this spring 2024 semester, SIPS made some changes to our leadership structure in order to better serve our PSU community. This change included new elections of our newly branded 3 committees; Outlook & Outreach, Marketing, and Finance & Events, which each have 2 co-chairs. Our President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary remained the same. The goal behind these changes is to make sure that every Monday night, when we meet, every person leaves with something more than they came in with. Well, I'm officially a senior in college. Weirdest thing I've ever heard myself say. This past summer was full of new colleagues and many, many, spreadsheets. Thank you to Ryan Renzella and Jason Dexter, as well as the EdGov team at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. in Marlborough, MA. This final school year is going to be full of taking pictures of mountains, long nights doing homework, but what I'm most excited about is leading PSU SIPS, as we held our first weekly meeting last night (every Monday at 5pm in Hyde 120 if you're on campus). A little about us if you're unfamiliar, PSU SIPS is Students in Professional Sales at Plymouth State University. Straight from our constitution, "SIPS’s mission is to facilitate the growth of students as business professionals. Through holding events, we aim to provide value to all PSU students while strengthening the community of the School of Business." This organization will be my pride and joy this year, under advising from Michael Kilfoyle. I am so excited to begin this journey of the end of my school career, as bittersweet as it may be.
