Consortium Meeting and Matchmaking Event in Belgium Our recent two-day PROSPECTS 5.0 event, held in Belgium on October 21-22, brought partners together to advance our shared mission for Industry 5.0. On Day 1, offered deep dives into project developments, achievements, and planning of activities for the next period. In addition to project updates, SINTEF and Knowit presented valuable research findings on the effects of digital technologies on knowledge workers, underscoring the impact of technological advancements on the workforce. The recording and slides from this presentation will soon be publicly available. Stay tuned! On Day 2, the PROSPECTS 5.0 partners took part at the Flanders Make Symposium in Mechelen. This event filled with innovation, collaboration, and inspiration provided insights and networking opportunities. The symposium served as an interactive platform where consortium members and industry experts explored emerging technologies, collaborative research projects, and the role of Industry 5.0 in shaping the future of European industry. The event also included matchmaking meetings at European Corner dedicated to the upcoming Horizon Europe 2025 calls. After an intense but fruitful first General Assembly of WILSON Horizon Europe Project in Milan, last week I had the chance to expend some time at Enlit Europe 2024, not only as a member of CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico, but also as project coordinator of WILSON. It is refreshing and necessary sometimes to make a parenthesis in our routine and check out what is going on in the industry to focus our efforts as technology center on the industry demands and needs. Also important was to explore the EU projects zone and have a look at what other researchers are proposing, share ideas and foster future collaborations. My first time at ENLIT, probably not last. Industry 5.0 Community of Practice Plenary Session On October 16, 2024, Ziga Valic, the coordinator of the PROSPECTS 5.0 project, participated in the Industry 5.0 Community of Practice Plenary Session held in Brussels, organized by DG RTD of the European Commission. This event marked an important gathering for pioneers and supporters of Industry 5.0, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices to support the ongoing green and digital transition within the EU’s industrial sectors. The plenary session featured a keynote address, a high-level panel on Industry 5.0’s role in enhancing EU industry competitiveness, and a presentation on the ERA Human-Centric Technology Roadmap.
