👂 Don't Be Shy to Say "Huh?" in Interviews What's good, Propela Peeps? ✌️ We've got a PSA for you all as you prep for those upcoming interviews. If there's ever a time you hear a question and think to yourself, "Uhh, come again?" - don't hesitate to ask for clarity! Raising your hand and saying "Hey, could you rephrase that or provide a definition?" is totally okay. In fact, it's better than nodding along and giving a generic response that misses the mark entirely. Interviewers want to see that you're engaged and genuinely trying to understand what they're asking. They'd much rather you speak up than have you bulldoze through with an answer that's way off base. It shows self-awareness and a desire to give a thoughtful, personalized response. Plus, asking for clarification allows you to put your own unique spin on how you tackle that question. Don't just regurgitate some robotic, Google-searched answer. The interviewer wants to hear your authentic voice and perspective come through! So feel empowered to politely ask for definitions or examples if a question has you scratching your head. Take a breath, get clarification, and then deliver a response that truly showcases your brilliant mind and relevant experience. At the end of the day, being honest about when you need clarity projects so much more confidence and credibility than faking it. The interviewer will appreciate your candor and thoughtfulness.
