Pass it on
DEI is actually alive and well. Many companies continue to invest in DEI and inclusion, only they're being less public about it. The ones who shut down their DEI teams were clearly not committed to it anyway. Workers continue to prefer companies that are diverse and inclusive when considering job opportunities. They know diversity and inclusion means better cultures, better decisions, better financial results, better teams, better retention. Companies who fail to incorporate DEI will fall behind and be at a disadvantage. Some savvy investors are investing for the future and asking portfolio companies for and paying to collect their diversity metrics.
