45,000 dockworkers are officially back on duty today 🙌 While yesterday's tentative agreement has paused the strike at 36 major U.S. ports, the ripple effects from a three-day shutdown are still unfolding. Here's a snapshot from our latest #SupplyChainInsights report: 📍Congestion Hotspots: New York is bracing for a wave of congestion, with 40 vessels en route and more on the way. 🏭 Industry Impacts: The Gulf Coast’s petrochemical supply chain is at risk, and East Coast retailers face delays as holiday season prep gets hit hard. 📦 Transshipment Surge: Carriers are rerouting to Freeport (Bahamas) and Halifax (Canada), leading to congestion at these alternate ports. ⏳ Recovery Timeline: Clearing the backlog could take over a month. With both parties returning to the negotiating table in January, the future of these ports remains uncertain. Keep an eye out for more updates as we continue to monitor the #SupplyChain impact.

🚨 BREAKING: After three days, the ILA #PortStrike has officially ended 🚨 A tentative agreement has been reached with a significant 62% wage hike, but both sides will return to negotiations in 2025 to tackle the bigger unresolved issues. Operations may be resuming, but the ripple effects across the #SupplyChain will be felt for weeks—if not longer. Yesterday project44's Eric Fullerton sat down with maritime expert Salvatore Mercogliano, Ph.D., who offered compelling insights into the strike's broader implications, including: 🔹 Container rerouting complications affecting global ports 🔹 Record-breaking ocean carrier profits that have escalated labor tensions 🔹 West Coast port impacts and worker solidarity 🔹 Automation being at the center of the debate, & more. Don’t miss the full interview on our YouTube channel, where Sal breaks down what to expect as the industry navigates the aftermath.

One week after #HurricaneHelene made landfall, its devastating effects are far from over. With 178 lives lost and 1.1 million still without power, the storm has left a trail of destruction—and the #SupplyChain is feeling the pressure: 🚢 Jacksonville saw 2 days without vessels, and dwell times are up to 12 days. 🚚 South Carolina’s on-time FTL performance dropped to 47% due to flooding and road damage. ⏳ Import/export backlogs are building at Jacksonville and Savannah. As recovery drags on and delays intensify with the ILA #PortStrike, businesses across the Southeast must prepare for an extended road to recovery. What better way to celebrate the opening of our new Bengaluru office than with an inspiring visit from our Chief People Officer Renee Mauldin? 🎉 Throughout the week, Renee didn’t just walk the floors—she immersed herself in the Indian culture and focused on how we can empower our #GlobalTeams to drive even more impact. Experiencing Family Day, where our team’s loved ones joined us in our new space, was a heartfelt reminder that every success story has a strong support system behind it. But the most unforgettable moment? Renee’s session with 20 underprivileged girls from the Jeevdaya Society, sparking conversations on #WomensEmpowerment and leadership. Watching these young girls present their storyboards and share their dreams was a moving example of the change we’re capable of igniting. This visit wasn’t just a milestone for Bengaluru team—it was a celebration of the powerful connections we’re building across the globe. As we continue to grow, it’s clear that our people and our shared purpose are what make everything possible 💙 #wearep44
