It's hard to believe it's been two months since #Progression2024! 📆 On June 13th, 2024, in partnership with Protect Our Winters and the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association, we held Progression's inaugural venture capital conference, Progression 2024! 🙌 Big thank you to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team for hosting the conference at their USANA Center of Excellence Olympic training facility in Park City, Utah. 🗻 The day kicked off with an inspiring Key Note from Protect Our Winters and Teton Gravity Research athlete Amie Engerbretson. We then had the chance to hear six AMAZING fundraising pitches from AlphaTech Research Corp, Harbinger, Frontline Wildfire Defense, Joule Case, MacroCycle Technologies, and Zero Homes. ⚡ After, we got to hear from the RSM Future of Clean Energy Investing panel moderated by Freshwater Advisors Founder, David Weinstein. To end the evening, we heard from U.S. Senate Candidate (D-UT) Caroline Gleich and enjoyed a private dinner and networking reception presented by Founders N' Funders and High West Distillery. To solve big problems, my biggest learning has been to create and leverage intersections. For climate, that means technology, policy, and philanthropy. With POW and the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team we also get world class athletes in the mix (👋 Caroline Gleich Amie Engerbretson). Thanks Ryan Bellissimo, Progression, Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association, and many teammates/entrepreneurs/partners for advancing this important intersection in Utah last week.

Still marveling over the power that collective action generates to address the impacts of climate change. Last week over 250 investors, clean energy entrepreneurs, and climate activists came out to Park City for the inaugural #Progression2024 Conference. In partnership with Protect Our Winters, the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team, and the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association - this event highlighted some of the country's leading voices working to address the energy transition and climate change. 📣 Big shoutout to the founder of Progression, Ryan Bellissimo who had the vision to pull this event together after more than a year of planning, along with my fellow Progression committee members who helped secure sponsors and curate a group of clean energy entrepreneurs actively fundraising in the cleantech and clean energy transition that align with the mission and work of Protect Our Winters. ♻ Thanks to all the wonderful speakers who shared their respective journeys on leaning into addressing climate change as mountaineers, founders, climate policy activists, including our keynote speaker Amie Engerbretson, followed up by my friend and venture investor Erik Snyder from Drawdown Fund, Managed by Tiger Grass Capital. 💥 Presentations by six leading innovators in the clean energy transition including: Joule Case, Zero Homes, Frontline Wildfire Defense, AlphaTech Research Corp, Harbinger, and MacroCycle Technologies. 💡 It was fun to moderate an engaging panel discussion on the Future of Clean Energy Investing that included: Jam Attari, Kirsten Suddath, and Tom Georgis where we discussed the current tailwinds and headwinds in the clean energy transition, the evolution of the capital stack in the clean energy sector, and the most exciting areas for investors. 🤝 Thanks to Willie Ford for serving as our MC for the day and keeping us all on track with the events programming, capped off by a captivating presentation by U.S. Senate Candidate (D-UT) Caroline Gleich. Nothing better than closing the event with an outdoor dinner in the mountains sponsored by High West Distillery, Founders N' Funders, Forecastr, and Pando as we all had a chance to reflect on the day's programming and make connections to support our collective efforts to address climate change. Last week, POW teamed up with Progression in Park City, Utah, to host a pitch event focused on clean energy innovation! Progression’s mission is to uncover innovative startups that align with materially advancing a non-profit’s core purpose. This year, POW took the spotlight as the featured nonprofit, and the event brought together cutting-edge climate change solutions and investors interested in funding their work. In collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association, Progression scouted out the top startups, ultimately selecting six standout companies to present their game-changing ideas. Additionally, professional skier and POW Athlete Alliance member Amie Engerbretson delivered an inspiring keynote address, and an insightful panel discussion delved into the future of clean energy investing.
