Lab Medicine and clinical labs are changing. There’s a groundswell of innovation centered on the move away from a reagent-centric model toward one fueled by data and artificial intelligence. That’s good news, because it will lead us to personalized and perhaps even predictive medicine, elongating both lifespans and quality of life. Read on in Today's Clinical Lab ClinicalLab post written by Juan Cruz C. https://lnkd.in/gEQY7byu #labmedicine #clinicallab #ai #digitaltwins #ai

The Surprising Impact of AI on Wet Lab Experiments During a recent panel discussion at SynBioBeta led by Jake Wintermute, featuring (our former Board Observer), Sandy L. we heard a great insight: "When digital storage became mainstream, many predicted the end of printed materials. Yet, printing actually increased. Today, a similar trend is unfolding in the life sciences. With AI's integration into our field, in silico screenings are not reducing but increasing the number of wet lab experiment. The reason? We're still gathering the critical mass of data needed." Our Probius #MiniQES platform is revolutionizing how we collect and encode molecular data, fueling #AI's generative capabilities and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in synthetic biology and #pharma research. We are on the brink of a new era in biotechnology, powered by a synergy between digital and physical research realms! 💡 What are your thoughts? on the role of AI in scientific experimentation? #SynBioBeta2024 #AI #TechBio #LifeSciences #genai #synbio Juan Cruz C.

Thrilled to share that we will be participating in the upcoming SynBioBeta conference! This will be our first time joining this exciting event and we can't wait to connect with all of you!. Come chat with us about your current challenges in bioanalysis, and let's work together to find solutions with the capabilities of MiniQES! Our very own Juan Cruz C. will be presenting at the poster session. He will be sharing his expertise on creating classifiers that predict biomanufacturing performance and quantify very diverse analytes. Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn from him and other industry experts at SynBioBeta. #syntheticbiology #bioanalysis #biomanufacturing We look forward to seeing you there! https://lnkd.in/g-gKXrfC

Rediscovering Life's Secrets with AI: A Quick Dive into the Future of Science AI isn't just pushing the boundaries of technology—it's unlocking the mysteries of life that have baffled scientists for decades. A recent piece in The New York Times (heads up, there might be a paywall*) inspired in recent publications by Stanford University and University of Oxford shine a light on how #FoundationModels are revolutionizing our understanding of biology. From reclassifying cell types to unveiling new biological insights, AI's prowess is undeniable. But here's the kicker: the accuracy of these AI revelations hinges on the quality of data we provide. It's a game-changer in accelerating scientific discovery, yet, it stands on the pillar of data integrity. That is what we thrive for at Probius, producing low bias representations of biological samples as #digitaltwins the can fuel the future models of biology and disease. How pivotal do you believe AI's role is in unraveling the complexities of life sciences? Could AI be the key to demystifying the secrets of life itself? Would love to hear your insights. 💡 #AI #LifeSciences #DataQuality https://lnkd.in/g8hn9XXV Bioarxiv paper: https://lnkd.in/g63B_R5B Juan Cruz C. *if paywall, you might have access through public libraries.

In the era of #ai #ml in #techbio, it is commonly thought that generating large datasets by aggregating different data is OK,... Here a recent example by researchers from ETH Zürich showing that aggregating values from different sources is a significant source of Noise when creating a large dataset for bioactivity prediction. The authors argue that merging data from different assays, even when targeting the same protein, introduces significant noise due to inconsistencies in experimental conditions, methodologies, and other factors. They emphasize the importance of careful curation to minimize discrepancies and improve the reliability of datasets used in machine learning models for drug discovery. At Probius we are developing a novel technology that allows you to measure proteins, metabolites, and small molecules (even from different organisms) without reagents or sample prep, creating large datasets (#digitaltwin ) of your samples with a very low bias, and much higher comparability between datasets. Follow us, and let us know your problem, we can work together to solve it. 📰 The article: "Combining IC50 or Ki Values from Different Sources Is a Source of Significant Noise" by Gregory A. Landrum and Sereina Riniker https://lnkd.in/gUVnx-D3 (full text link in comments)

After a very busy and great day one at SLAS (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) meeting #slas2024 We are looking forward to day two One of the main positive comments about our #MiniQES #bioanalytical platform was about its size and how it is expected to be much bigger for what is able to do! This is a big instrument meeting :) So we have made it easier to spot it in our booth :) Come visit us at booth 1278 and see the MiniQES in action and let’s talk about your #bioanalytical challenges! Looking forward to meeting you! #labautomation #innovation
