About us
Prince William Water is the premier provider of clean, reliable drinking water and environmentally sustainable water reclamation services to approximately 386,000 customers in Prince William County, Virginia. The high-quality drinking water Prince William Water provides is drawn from three primary sources: the Occoquan Reservoir, the Potomac River and Lake Manassas. Water from the Occoquan Reservoir and Potomac River is treated at Fairfax Water’s Frederick P. Griffith, Jr. and James J. Corbalis, Jr. Water Treatment Plants, respectively. Water from Lake Manassas is treated by the City of Manassas. Wastewater collected by Prince William Water is treated at two different facilities in Northern Virginia. The H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility in Woodbridge treats wastewater from the eastern portion of Prince William County. The Upper Occoquan Service Authority in Fairfax County treats wastewater from western Prince William County.

Honored to welcome water and wastewater industry CEOs from across the country to Southern California. Interim General Manager Deven Upadahyay provided them with Metropolitan's perspective during a discussion on Wednesday. The group visited our region as part of a 3-day conference focusing on some of the major challenges and key issues our utilities face.

Prince William Water recently received two significant awards for our commitment to the environment! Our H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility earned the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA)'s Peak Performance Platinum Award for the 15th year. This means we're among the top 0.5% of facilities nationwide out of about 16,000! Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has named us a Sustainability Partner for the second year, honoring our commitment to sustainability. Our efforts include the Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability Committee and H2Go Kids. Read more about our impact on the environment!

Thousands of students and their families got a head start on back-to-school preparation over the weekend. The Prince William County Public Schools and the Prince William County Community Foundation Back-to-School Community Event was held at Unity Reed High School in Manassas, VA. During the event we debuted our newly designed AquaVan, we distributed over 1,300 reusable bottles and encouraged all to drink tap! Attendees left the event with backpacks, school supplies and a reminder of our commitment to providing clean, refreshing water!
